Chocolate Frosting

4oz (125g) butter, softened
8oz (250g) confectioners (icing) sugar
2/3 cup cocoa powder
4fl oz (125ml) milk
2 teaspoons vanilla essence
Beat the butter with an electric mixer until as fluffy and white as possible (approx 10 minutes).
Add half of the confectioners sugar, half the cocoa powder and half of the milk.
Beat until as light and fluffy as possible, continuously scraping down the sides of the bowl.
Add the remaining ingredients and continue beating until the mixture is smooth and of a spreadable consistency.
If the mixture is too thick, add extra milk. If it is too runny, add extra confectioners sugar.
